Collective Haul and some tips and vouchers

Wednesday, June 22, 2011
Got a collective haul for you all today, I've been super busy lately but still managed to pick up some great deals!

First of all I picked up some Body Shop goodies using a 50% off code that was floating around last week. I think this has now expired though.
I bought the Guava Berry Shampoo and Conditioner, Carrot Moisturiser and Japan Adzuki Bean & Rice Wash Grains.
There is another 50% code for sale items at the moment. Making sale items even cheaper!
It is VMQ2
I used it last night and it worked fine for me! (another Body Shop Haul to come soon)

Then I picked up a mineralize skin finish natural from Mac. I use this everyday and mine had ran out!
Also got some great deals at Boots. There are 2 free nails inc limited edition colours available when you buy 2 Dove deodorants. They are Havana and Copacabana.
I bought 4 deodorants and got the 2 different colours.
There is also a voucher you can print for £1 off the deodorants here:

I printed out 2 and used them both! You need to use a different email address for the second voucher and can only use 1 per transaction. So split your shopping into 2 sales so you can use both vouchers! I also got a 10% off deodorant voucher in the recent mailing vouchers from Boots and used that as well. My mum got a 25% off one, so make sure to open your letters from Boots!

Also from the advantage card machine I got a £3 off 17 Lash Defining Mascara voucher.
It is marked at £5 odds on the shelf but scans through the tills at £2.65 making it free with the voucher!
Not everyone gets the same vouchers from the machine, so pop your advantage card in and try!
I also bought a limited edition 17 nail polish, in shade Palm Beach. It is such a bright summery colour!

Because I had bought 2 17 items (even though 1 was free after the voucher) I picked up the Nail Bar in a Bag for free!

Inside it has 2 nail polishes, Knockout Red and Pink Grapefruit as well as a mini pink leopard print nail file and little nail stickers.

So all in I spent £10 odds in Boots and walked away with:
4 Deodorants
2 Nails Inc Polishes
17 Mascara
3 17 Nail Polishes
A Nail File
Nail Stickers

I also used a double points voucher that Boots had mailed out to me!
Not too bad if I do say so myself!

Claire's Accessories Nail Wraps

Wednesday, June 15, 2011

Last week me and my mum where in Claire's Accessories, just having a wee look around when we saw their nail wraps.
Having heard so many good things recently about nail wraps we decided to go ahead and buy them.
At £3 for a pack of 10 they aren't too badly priced. They aren't something I would wear on a daily basis as they only last a few days, and lets face it you can buy a bottle of nail polish for that price!

So we each bought a pack of them. And when we got home my mum wanted to try them out straight away, so I decided to whip the camera out and take pictures of the whole process of applying them.

Well I instantly regretted buying them.
They are not shaped properly at all and left really wide gaps on my mum's nails. I also tried a couple on, but they were the same on my nails as well.

Heres some pictures so you can see what I am talking about:

I really liked the idea of these nail wraps, but really think that Claire's should include different sized wraps and not just give 10 "one size fits all" wraps in the packet. Or maybe sell ones that you cut to size yourself. I think these would be a much better idea, because all in we wasted £6 on products that are no good to us at all.

I don't really like to say something negative about Claire's, as I used to work there as a supervisor for 3 years and I loved it! I typically love all their products, but really think they have missed an opportunity here with these Nail Wraps.

ELF Passion Pink Polish

Monday, June 13, 2011

Here are some pictures of ELF's Passion Pink nail polish.
It is a neon pink colour with gold shimmer through it, I really love this colour so much.
I think I prefer this to the Gum Pink colour I tried last week, and the brush on this one is much better as well. Plus it is only £1.50!

And ELF are having a 20% off everything offer at the moment with the following codes:

I am waiting for some Ebay money hitting my bank account tomorrow, so I'll be placing my order for some new polishes then!

Small Skin Care Haul

Friday, June 3, 2011
So last night I walked round to the supermarket to pick up a few things for my mum, and ended up buying a few skincare items because they were on offer.

So what did I buy?

Garnier Soft Essentials Day Cream (£1.69) and Face Wipes (£1.47)
I am currently using the matching Face Wash every day and I really like it, so I thought I would buy these as well to try and see what I think of the whole range

L'oreal Perfect Clean with the Scrublet (£2.48) and Goody Ouchless elastics (62p)
I've been wanting to try this new scrublet thing forever, but have just never got around to buying it!
And the Ouchless bobbles are my favourites, I hate bobbles with metal bits on them!

ELF Gum Pink Polish

Here are some pictures of Gum Pink by ELF
I really love the colour It's such a nice bright, barbie pink colour!
It is a bit thick to put on and the brush isn't that great compared to some higher end nail polishes.
But at £1.50 a bottle, I can't really complain!
